While some of our bikes are manufactured and assembled in Asia, Opus’ electric bike lineup is assembled with care at our Montréal headquarters. A team of dedicated and highly skilled Opus employees make sure that every bike coming off our assembly line meets the highest standards of quality. Each bike is accompanied by a detailed quality control checklist, covering key inspection points that must be verified and signed off before it is ready to ship to your local dealer.
The Connect EP6: Light and Assembled in Montréal
Made with the discerning e-bike rider in mind, the Connect EP6 is equipped with no-nonsense electric and mechanical components. Its Shimano EP6 mid drive unit easily helps you get up hills thanks to its 85Nm torque. The 418Wh external battery is safe, reliable and keeps the bike’s weight in check. Plus, its durable Shimano CUES drivetrain and hydraulic brakes make the ride safe and simple.

The Assembly Process, Explained
Months before the bike is in your hands, the Opus team orders everything that’s needed to build the bikes. Once the final frame design is approved, they are ordered from our manufacturer, and so are drivetrains, electronic parts, hubs, spokes and rims from our suppliers. Packaging and every little hardware bit and piece needed to finish up the bikes and box them up are purchased.
Upon receiving, the Opus assembly team gathers every part and makes sure the quality is up to standard.
Production staging then begins, and bikes are slowly built, one by one.
Once assembled, they are QC’ed and signed off before being packaged
Bikes are now ready to ship 95% assembled Canada-wide to our dealers and ready to be ridden almost out of the box, thanks to the optimized packaging setup, QC process and tune-up made on our assembly line.
